O.M.N.I.

O.M.N.I. is Zachary Spiezer and Noah Peterson collaborating with many other musicians, most notably Benjamin Hicock who has contributed to every album. O.M.N.I. is an online music recording project. It's a combination of reggae, dub, and electronic music with influences from Amon Tobin, King Tubby, Augustus Pablo, and others.

Zach met Noah in Portland, Oregon in 2001 where they started collaborating together in bands and recording projects. In 2005, they released their first experimental album "Bump" under Noah's name. This project was unknowingly the birth of O.M.N.I. Zach had left the Northwest in 2005 and the two stayed in touch throughout their individual adventures. In 2012, Zach came back to Portland for a visit. He brought in a calypso idea and the very first O.M.N.I. tune, "Poortown Scrub", was created.

Over the next few years the two began to collaborate more, creating music which included stops in New York City, San Antonio, and a very important Florida trip. They blended the Reggae, Trip Hop and classic Dub that Zach was into with Noah's various influences. During the Florida trip in 2014, O.M.N.I. was officially born. After four days of nonstop writing and recording, Zach went to back New York with hours of recorded ideas and began putting together what would eventually be "Harry's Psychedelicatessen". While Zach was working on arranging and mixing for that first album, he brought in Benjamin Hicock. Ben not only added his guitar, some keyboard and organ licks, but he also lended a hand with some arrangement and composition ideas.

From there, this O.M.N.I. collaboration has birthed six albums. Behind each song and album there is a
Sci-Fi story, written by Zach, relating the cosmic adventures of a multitude of characters on a mission to save the Universe.

O.M.N.I. can be described as a feeling, a groove, and a meeting of minds. People from different backgrounds in music and in life, have all contributed to make this unique sonic experience.
